1 Plan your templates

Your programming is not implemented content by content by hand, but grouped into time slots and Ad breaks in a template to automate and plan your broadcast.

Go to menu => PLAN => Templates.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Building a template.

Templates are blocks of content and/or advertising (already grouped into time slots) that you need to assign to one or more days of the week.

In this example, Template 1: TEEMPLATEE IBC-WE only is assigned to Saturday and Sunday.

Your objective is to associate time slots (consecutively or not) to fill a day. You need to create several templates that correspond to the logical patterns of your editorial line, in order to fill your grid and automate the flow of your channel.

There are three steps to building a template:

Choosing your content (a.).

They come in two forms:

- Time slots (grouping of several contents)

- Ad breaks

As a reminder, content colors are defined in the menus :

- PREPARE > Time slots > Associated color

- CONFIGURE > Channel settings > Media type settings > Ad breaks

Next, click and drag content from the list (a.) to the grid (b.).

Content organization (b.).

The ‘Daily grid structure’ starts at 00:00 by default.

You can modify the start time and day of your schedule from menu > CONFIGURE > Scheduling settings > Programming parameters.

When you add an item, its Time Code is automatically calculated according to the first hour of the day and the other items.

The 'pencil' iconéditionallows you to modify your item by returning to the corresponding page.

The ‘+’ and ‘-’éditionicons allow you to modulate the timeline to best fit very short programs. As here with a 40s interstitial ad.

Validating your objectives (c.).

Daily Completion is a gauge that adds up all the programs in your schedule to prevent you from leaving empty slots.

It must be 100%!

The template parameters allow you to associate the days of the week corresponding to this template. For example, you have one template for the weekend and one for the week.

Once your templates are created and 100% complete, you can move on to the next step, scheduling your templates in the calendar => Plan your calendar.
