Distribute your platform to companies and institutions (B-to-B)

Modified on Wed, 17 May 2023 at 04:03 PM

With OKAST it is possible to license your platform in B-to-B. There are many types of B2B customers who may be interested in video streaming platforms:

  • Educational and cultural networks
  • Schools
  • Universities
  • Libraries and media libraries
  • Corporate companies
  • Institutions
    etc….

If you reach an agreement with such a client, and you have already a B-to-C platform, we need to adapt it to meet specific requirements :

1/ Creation of a new platform, with a specific editorial content (or not) and dedicated analytics

2/ Checkout & profile removal since the platform is used by a set of multiple viewers (e.g. university students)

3/ Addition of a single and simple authentication system, specific to the customer, allowing users to connect to the platform in 1 click (for example via IP recognition, or via systems such as Shibboleth, OpenAthens, SSO / SAML…)

How does it work from your interface?

In your interface, we create a new specific “B-to-B” project.

From this project, you will have the possibility to add B-to-B clients and set:

  • a maximum number of users for each of them
  • a maximum number of connections for each of them

Everything else is the same, you can manage your content, smartlists and casting in the same way as a standard project.

NB: as this is a dedicated project, the analytics (views, users…) on this platform will be separated from your other projects or platforms. Then, you will not have any risk of mixing the data resulting from your B-to-C and B-to-B activities.

Caution: we may not manage all authentication systems, please contact us to find out if we support it.
