Group your content (Collection, Short Film, Direct, Feature Film, Mini-Series, Pastille, Podcast, Short Program, Series, or Unit) into program lists for easy integration into your programming.
Go to menu => PREPARE => Lists.
Encoding
Have you already encoded your content on the platform so that it can be found in your content library? The programs on your FAST channel are content like any other. So go to your organization's CATALOG > Media encoding menu, and click on the Create new media to encode > Hosted video =>
If this is not the case, go to the following help page => Upload and manage your content. If you'd like to automate this task using Bulk, please let us know.
Format
If you are using the OKAST Back-Office, and have entered all the information and metadata for your content, you need to define its category so that it appears in your FAST channel's program inventory.
Go to the Metadata > Format menu and select one of the following formats:
- For a program: Bumper, Collection, Short, Direct, Feature, Mini-Series, Pastille, Podcast, Short program, Series, or Unit.
- For an Ad break: Ad Pod, Bumper and Promotion.
Bumper and Promotion formats can be in both groups if required.
List
Go to your FAST channel > PREPARE tab > Lists
In this menu, you'll find the different program lists created for your channel, along with the number of programs they contain. Click on the Create a program list button to start.
A program list is a collection of content (Bumper, Collection, Short Film, Direct, Feature, Mini-Series, Pastille, Podcast, Short Program, Series or Unit) organized in chronological order.
Organize with a simple click, drop your content from your program inventory (a.) to your new program list (b.).
Your program list can include several similar formats, as in this example.
Program inventory (a.)
This menu lets you sort programs either alphabetically or by format filter. This is the same format you defined when encoding your content in the Metadata > Format tab. (Bumper, Collection, Short film, Direct, Feature, Mini-series, Pastille, Podcast, Short program, Series, or Unit) and the colors you have assigned in the FAST => CONFIGURE > Channel settings > Media type settings menu.
Program list (b.)
This menu automatically lists the number of programs in your inventory, their total duration, and the shortest and longest program durations.
You can simply organize your programs by clicking and dropping them into the list.
Once you've created and named your program lists, you can move on to the next step, to integrate your lists into one or more time slots => Prepare your time slots
