Create your promotional codes in Stripe

Promotional codes can be used in OKAST during checkout (subscription payment by your users).

To activate or create a Promotional Code, go to the Coupons tab of the Product Catalog menu in Stripe > https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/coupons


There are several levels of discount available with Stripe: Coupons and promotional codes. 


Use coupons to apply discounts to the subscriptions you offer.



Use promotional codes to share them with your customers and apply them at checkout.

The first step is to create a coupon and then attach the promotional codes to it.




Then create a Coupon or select an existing one.

  • Name: the name of your coupon code, prefer a sequence of numbers and letters in capital letters
  • ID : the ID must be identical to the Name entered before
  • Type : you can choose a percentage discount or a fixed amount
  • Apply to specific products : choose the products on which you want to apply this coupon code

  • Duration: determine the validity period of the promotional code once used
    • Forever
    • Once
    • Multiple months

  • Redemption limits
    • Temporal: indicate the date and time of expiration of the coupon
    • Use: indicate the maximum number of times the coupon can be used
  • Codes: Enter the promotional code and its options.




Add one or more codes and create the coupon with promotional code.


If you have selected an existing Coupon, open its page and go to the Promotional codes section and add a promotional code.



Fill in the fields corresponding to your options. If you leave the code field blank, Stripe will automatically generate a random code for you when you add the promotional code.



Congratulations! You've just created a Promotional Code that you can use on your OKAST platform's secure payment interface.
