Importing catalog from file

At any moment you can import a list of content via a specific file. 

Steps to follow

The process follows these steps:

1. go to your catalog page https://app.ikast.io/contents ;

2. clic on the button IMPORT (CSV)

a file browser helps you to locate your file

1. validate the selection

2. if the file is valid a confirmation will be displayed and your catalog updated.

File format

The file must be encoded using CSV structure. No header accepted, just raw data.

Each raw of the file will then describe your content, based on these parameters:

• customID, an open field you can use to mention a reference of this content in any of your own systems;

• foreignKey, this is provided by the system if you don't have it,

• Type:

  • Video File: meaning an already produced content ready for typically VOD, or TV

  • Live stream: a stream from a linear TV channel or an internet streaming link

  • Podcast: audio only content

• Title, max 255 characters

• Short description, max 3000 characters

• URL to picture,

• duration, in seconds
