You can link 'external content' from your back office to make it available on your platform.




What is external content?

External content is content that is not encoded and stored on your back office (it does not consume your encoding package) but it allows you to add an external player to OKAST on your platform.



To create this type of content, go to CONTENT MANAGEMENT > External content.


The two types of content: STREAM or EXTERNAL


1. Either a linear video like a television channel.


To find out more about setting up such a channel, go to the dedicated page : External STREAM content (HLS + EPG) then select the 'STREAM' button in your Back Office.

2. In other words, video on demand like the social networks, YouTube, Dailymotion, Facebook, Arte, Vimeo and France TV.

External content from 'EXTERNAL' sources: video players, then select the 'EXTERNAL' button in your Back Office.

Once a 'STREAM' or 'EXTERNAL' source has been chosen and entered, it is no longer possible to change it. You must delete or archive your content.
