The advertising menu also allows you to display video formats (CSAI VAST*) from an advertising network before, during and after your video content.
These video formats come from an advertising network, and therefore from a URL link that we will provide you with. In the OKAST backoffice, you can then select display options that will be useful for :
- Create additional advertising revenue
- Create dynamic advertising campaigns tailored to a segment of videos on your platform
- Create more attractive subscription offers that include advertising revenue
CSAI VAST are video inserts from an advertising network. They will therefore earn you money, but may be invisible if you use an ad blocker.
This type of advertising can be accessed from the
OFFER MANAGEMENT / Advertising / Create a new advertising / CSAI VAST.
Once in the CSAI VAST campaign editor :
1. Enter the URL provided by OKAST.
2. Choose the VAST parameters as to be :
- Placed before, in the middle of, or at the end of one of your videos.
- Skipable, i.e. with a button that allows you to jump directly to the content.
3. Choose VAST variables such as
- Maximum ad length
- Minimum ad length
- The maximum number of ads you wish to display.
Please note: The gender and country fields must be filled in. They must match the spelling of the fields in the metadata tabs for hosted content, for example.
- The country in which your video is broadcast
- The genre of your video, to link it to the advertising genre (Animation or Entertainment or Magazine or Fiction or Documentary or Live Performance).
4. Associate an offer from the menu > OFFER MANAGEMENT / Price Plan.
Then select the pricing plan a) to which you wish to apply the ads. In Parameters b), activate Monetisation c), and select your advertising offer.
*CSAI definition: 'Client-Side Ad Insertion' is an advertising delivery method where ads are inserted on the user's device rather than on the server. CSAI offers greater flexibility and better ad targeting.
